from the Alpine cde-126bt. Power antenna only turns on the amp when I play radio. Remote trigger is going into factory sound system wire harness.
And got the following answer:
To see if your car has a factory amplified system ( you said the blue/white is going to the factory harness, I assume through a wire harness adapter) see if there is a wire connected on the factory side of the plug. If not, simply cut the wire in the harness adapter,( leaving enough wire on both ends to reconnect later if you need to ) use the wire coming from the radio side to connect to the amp's remote wire. I prefer to solder then use a 3M super 33 electrical tape to insulate the wire. If there is a wire on the factory side of the plug, you can strip back about 1/4" section of the blue/white wire. At this point I prefer to use a relay to control your amp. However, usually there is no problem attaching your remote wire to the stripped wire section. If you want to know about the relay you can email me. If you connect the remote from your amp to a switched 12v such as the red on the radio, you will get a 'pop' noise through the system. If the amp is a sub amp, this could be very loud. I hope this helps.
