Crystal W asked Car stereo wont work?
I have a DHD power cruiser amplifier (2000 watt), 2 12 inch subs and a pioneer head unit in my car. The stereo works but the subs wont and the power light to the the amp doesnt will not come on. Is there some kind of reset switch that i dont know about? I checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine as well as all of the connections and the grounds...any advice would be helpful. Thanks
And got the following answer:
Try using a short piece of wire to jumper the main 12v+ terminal at the amp to the remote terminal, usually next to it. If the amp turns on, then your remote wire is at fault or not working on the radio. There are also occasions where some amplifiers' remote circuits draw more current than some radio's antenna/remote leads. In these rare cases, the remote lead shuts down. If this is the case, you can use a Bosch SPDT relay (or eqivalent) to relieve the strain on the remote.
