DX RULZ asked I have asked a question recently and i need help again?
I asked a question about my 1994 dodge intrepid wipers. and i heard that if it is not the motor then it is the BCM. I dont know what a BCM is. Does anyone know what it is and if you do could you help me out. give me some details, that are easy to understand. please this is important?
And got the following answer:
the most common problem is the contrl switch that turns them off and on or delay mode...they also have a relay...but when I am faced with a no wiper problem I go through my check list in this manner: check fuses and relays....if good turn key on and wiper switch on....if I have propper voltage to wiper motor and they are not working...I unplug the motor and run a 12v jumper wire frome battery to the blade connectors on wiper motor and see if direct voltage to motor makes the wipers move...if so then by process of elimination we know the switch in the car is bad....you can even check for voltage on the switch...it may have current going to it but not out of it in any position....more times then not on chrysler products I change the switch ..more than any part of the wipers...especially true on vehicles that have wipers controlled on the turn signal switch...this is called a multi-function switch and is available much cheaper through advance or auto zone than at the dealer
