assuming the new bat is good. should be. just to cover basics, clean terminals, good cables-no white stuff on them-peel wee a bit of insulation back to confirm, neg & pos. check pos from the bat to the black box, the n down to the starter. insure the little wires on the starter are secure and good. and at least one engine to chassis ground somewhere. those can look discolored and still be good. pulling a starter and taking it to most any auto parts store for testing can be done for free. that will test load and sol action as well. on the surface, the starter/sol is likely your issue. if needed, get the starter as a whole unit. not just a sol or starter. ---------- more in depth trouble shooting, toy employs a secondary starter sol/relay in that black box just off the bat. it's marked-starter or start. removing, cleaning/spraying contacts w/ WD-40 or replace. there's a start neutral detent switch on the of trans where the shifter cable connects. it and the cable can be adjusted. also, that switch doubles as reverse light switch. so if you don't have reverse lights, that would be one clue the start detent/shift range switch needs adjustment or replacement. how to adjust/test/replace that, http://www.autozone.com/autozone/repairinfo/repairguide/repairGuideContent.jsp?pageId=0996b43f80380289 possible ignition switch issue-not tumbler. it's mounted to the end of the tumbler. should have 12v to the little wire on the starter when in *start* position. don't hold it in start position too long. if no 12v, check 12v to the relay in the black box. no 12v, suspect ignition switch. to remove that you should be able to reach under the dash, disconnect the connector, unscrew one or two little cross point screws on the switch as it's mounted to the tumbler, and have it in hand. think that should about cover all possibilities. not going to mention the alt and a possible ground condition as i don't think that's in play here given your input bout having lights and such. otherwise, a reputable ASE shop or the dealer is best. ..
