My sister car is a 2002 chevy venture.While fixing the last problem,ICM relay and fuse, I noticed that the a/c clutch diode and fuse were fried. After fixing the last problem I let the Car run to finish charging the battery(I get about 14 V-DC across the battery while the car is running, but during the time that it was running I noticed that the a/c line that runs from the compressor to the evaporator ( I think that's right anyway it runs to the firewall) was icing up. Is it suppose to do that. I didn't have the a/c on at the time.and we really don't use it .but I'm afraid that there is something else wrong. can anyone out there help me with this problem? Is there a machine that can tell me where my short is or what? I didn't fix the diode and relay problem. could that be where my short is?

If the AC Line was Icing Up The Compressor was Running. Either Stuck Closed or Shorted to Ground A/C Compressor Relay, Short to Power on the Ground Side of Compressor Taking Out Diode and Power Wire, High Resistance in Circuit. Check Wiring Harness for Damaged, Exposed Or Melted Wires. Use a Test Light to Check for Shorts or Opens. Connect the Lamp to Negative Battery to Check Power Connect to Positive Battery to Check Grounds. Will Light if Good.
