I have a 2006 Yamaha FZ6. I just installed a H4 kit and an H7 kit with ballasts and everything. When my low beams are on the H7 light comes on and is the blue tinted 8k HID as it should be. When I hit my high beams the H4 comes on as well but looks just like a stock Halogen bulb...so when my high beams are on it looks like two different colored lights even though they are both HIDs. It looks like I only replaced the one light even though they both have been upgraded. Why is this? How can I get it so that when I turn to high beams the second light that is added is also the blue 8k color like the low beam. Thanks for the help.
And got the following answer:
IT a bit of a complicated issue you have there. the h4 is a dual filament high/ low system. Your low beam will be a xenon and your high beam will be a regular halogen bulb. Your h7 bulb is in place for a high beam. So what happens is when you switch to your high beam both lights come on but the h4 will switch over to a halogen. The only way to fix that is to get a bi-xenon kit for your bike. Basically your high and low are xenon. The only thing you will have issues with is finding a relay switch that will work with both your lights. Try these guys http://www.motorcyclehidlights.com/. They might be able to help you out more on that situation.
