Ive never wired one of these before. I wired it like I would a normal relay, switching the coil, but its not alternating. I found a schematic for it and I think I have it figured out but I wanted to get someone else's opinion. It is necessary to have pin 3 and 4 connect properly for this relay to operate properly. the power MUST ALWAYS be supplied to pins 3 and 4. If your float switch is a single pole single throw switch or a single pole double throw switch; then you MUST have the jumper from 1 to 5. You 2 loads are conected to pins 2 and 8 M1 and M2 are NOT necessarily motors but likely motor starter relays. The contacts in these alternating relays are NOT designed to control motor loads with high inrush currents like you get with sump pumps. they are rated at 10 amps Contact rating: 10A @ 240V AC/30V DC, 1/2HP @ 120/240V AC (N.O.), 1/3HP @ 120/240VAC (N.C.)
